LitMod Turns Ten!

On March 22nd, 2019, Literatures of Modernity celebrates its 10th year since the inception of the program, with Distinguished Speaker Sara Saljoughi (Assistant Professor, Department of English, University of Toronto Scarborough; Cinema Studies Institute, University of Toronto) kicking off a series of exciting talks and panels!

Serving unique, subversive, and powerful voices, LitMod alumni and current students are also reading excerpts from their personal essays on the expansive and abstract topic of “Modernity,” all of which are also published in the White Wall Review’s Special Issue.

Current LitMod student Sam Boer, is also a panelist at this event, presenting his essay, “‘Witness my Sad Little Nightly Ritual’: Suburban Isolation in Nick Drnaso’s Sabrina.”
